What You Bring
If you’d like to attend this retreat, you’ll bring a short piece of writing (more details when you register). This writing can be a first draft, or any work in progress.
Our time together will include group ritual, sharing your writing & offering creative feedback in small groups, movement, guided visualization, and Opal's guidance for the creative re-vision process.
This retreat is for a woman who desires to be in deep and dedicated relationship with herself, her writing, and with other women. Essential to our time together is your desire to generously listen and reflect upon the writing of the others in the group as well as receive this attention to your own writing.
Re - Vision
Due to low enrollment, this retreat has been cancelled at this time.

WHAT IS MY CREATIVE HARVEST?
WHAT CAN I WEAVE
FROM A FIRST DRAFT?
At this half-day women’s retreat for the harvest time of Lammas, we take up our mantles as women who can receive creative abundance, and weave it worthily into the web of our great visions. This is a creative process retreat that treats revision as a celebration of our shared power: we practice such awe of the beauty we’ve each created, that to untangle any knots in our writing and re-weave them is an act of radical love.
The process of creative feedback in groups and revision of our own writing can be rife with prescriptive commentary or the voice of an inner critic saying “not good enough.” Or its opposite: too-sweet praise that does not dig into the buried potential within a new piece of writing. In this retreat, I’m offering an alternative that honors both the wisdom and wildness of our original creations: we learn to ask compassionate questions that beckon each other more and more deeply into the beauty and power of our writing.
This retreat is an opportunity to remember and learn from each other ways to support each other as women weavers of a vividly alive, revived culture. The skills of creative feedback may be new to us, but the ability to trust each other as women visionaries is older than time. While re~vision has one deeply internal face, she has another dynamic, vital face as well: the loving & clear-seeing eyes of each other.
Anyone who identifies as a woman is welcome here. You are welcome here as a writer, an artist, a dreamer, a culture-maker, a healer, an earth-shaker, someone who journals as a way to understand yourself, a curious heart...one who, voice trembling, still must speak...A woman singing the earth back to life.
